This is where all the #7 trains rest after a long and busy day running from Flushing Queens to Manhattan Times Square.
The architecture in the background is a tennis center where every year all of the most famous tennis players around the world play for the US OPEN.
The METS stadium (CITY FIELD) is also near by here, withing walking distance.
You can get here here my taking the 7 train to the Mets stadium.

# 7 Train approaching the station (74th, Broadway & Roosevelt)
It is hard for me as a photographer not to carry a camera around everywhere I go. This is why I had to get myself a smaller camera (Nikon P7000) that allows me to react quickly to a photographic opportunity.
I Used to carry one of my DSLRs to my office everyday, but it is kind of inconvenience to move around in city during rush hour with such big camera (if you live in NYC you probably know what I mean). In addition, a DSLR camera is much difficult to operate quickly, and to take a picture of a fast moving subject, like this train approaching the station. Although I could anticipate the arrival of the train, I was not able to anticipate such nice composition until the train was this close from the station. But luckily for me, I was carrying my portable Nikon P7000, which allowed me to react quickly to such great scenery.
